Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
Hugoton,

US
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), operated by the Kansas Department for Children and Families, is dedicated to alleviating food insecurity for low-income households in Hugoton and across Kansas. By distributing free USDA commodity foods, TEFAP ensures that essential nutritional needs are met with a variety of items including canned vegetables, fruits, juices, meats, cereals, peanut butter, nonfat dry milk, and pasta. Food shipments occur five to six times a year, providing each participating household with between four to ten essential food products. We invite residents to apply through their home county to access this vital food assistance, helping to nourish our community with care and support during challenging times.
