The Practical Abortion Fund, located in Hiawatha, KS, is dedicated to ensuring individuals in the Midwest can access safe, legal abortions by providing vital support services that include travel coordination, lodging, food assistance, and emotional care. Our mission is to alleviate the logistical and financial burdens associated with seeking an abortion, offering personalized support in the form of financial assistance for travel, accommodation, food, childcare, and medication. While we do not cover the cost of abortion procedures directly, our coordinators work diligently to connect clients with providers of abortion procedure funds. To request assistance, we encourage clients to reach out at least five days in advance, and our Intake Coordinators will respond within 24 hours to provide the support you need during this sensitive time.
