Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) in Hiawatha, KS, is dedicated to supporting low-income seniors aged 60 and older by providing essential food assistance through monthly food packages. Each package contains a variety of nutritious items, including cheese, shelf-stable milk, dry beans, cereal, meat, vegetables, fruits, juice, and instant potatoes or rice, ensuring a balanced diet for our participants. Serving a 53-county area, we strive to alleviate food insecurity among our elderly community members. To apply for these vital food packages, seniors can reach out to the local organization that administers CSFP in their county, which can assist with the application process.
