Food and Hygiene

In Hays, Kansas, the Food and Hygiene program of Catholic Charities is dedicated to supporting individuals and families facing homelessness and economic challenges by providing critical food assistance and hygiene items. Understanding the urgency of these needs, we serve our community with care, offering monthly nonperishable food boxes to eligible clients who meet specific income guidelines. For our clients in rural areas surrounding Manhattan, we ensure that they also have access to this vital resource. Additionally, those approved at our locations in Salina, Hays, and Manhattan can receive a hygiene bag every other month, complete with essentials like toilet paper and laundry detergent. We believe that everyone deserves access to basic necessities, and our mission is to help ensure that our neighbors know they are not alone.
