The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Great Bend, KS, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders who advocate for a food system that is equitable, sustainable, and community-focused. Through our fellowship, we provide a transformative experience that includes comprehensive education in organic farming, community engagement, and food justice principles. Our program empowers fellows to collaborate with local partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, enhance food literacy in schools, support farmers markets, and contribute to community food initiatives. Over six months, selected fellows participate in an immersive hands-on learning experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their knowledge in collaboration with regional non-profits. Committed to accessibility, we do not charge tuition for this vital training, ensuring that passionate individuals can join us in fostering healthy food systems for all. Applications are accepted until March, with experiences running from May to October.
