Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in Galena, KS, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to low-income households across Kansas. Through our partnership with the Kansas Department for Children and Families, we deliver USDA commodity foods that help meet the basic nutritional needs of families in our community. With shipments occurring five to six times each year, we ensure a variety of nutritious options, including canned vegetables, fruit, juice, meat, cereal, peanut butter, nonfat dry milk, and pasta, with each household receiving between four to ten different items per shipment. To access these vital resources, clients must apply within their home county, allowing us to support those who need it most with compassion and efficiency.
