Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in Fredonia, Kansas, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to low-income households across the state. Through the support of the Kansas Department for Children and Families, TEFAP delivers free USDA commodity foods to ensure that families have access to nutritious options such as canned vegetables, fruits, juices, meats, cereals, peanut butter, nonfat dry milk, and pasta. With shipments occurring five to six times a year, each household can receive a minimum of four to a maximum of ten food items, helping to meet their basic nutritional needs.
