Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Fort Scott, KS, is dedicated to fostering healthy food habits among low-income pregnant women, new mothers, and their young children up to five years of age. Our mission is to empower families in Bourbon and Crawford County with essential resources, nutrition education, and support for breastfeeding to ensure the well-being of their children. WIC provides supplemental food, nutrition guidance, and health care referrals, making a meaningful impact on the health of our community's most vulnerable members. We welcome fathers, grandparents, and other caregivers to enroll their children, and those who participate in Medicaid, TANF, or SNAP typically meet our income eligibility criteria. Together, we can nurture a healthier future for our families.
