Senior Boxes

In Fort Leavenworth, KS, Senior Boxes, a vital initiative by Second Harvest Community Food Bank, is dedicated to alleviating food insecurity among seniors. This program delivers nourishing food directly to older adults who face challenges in accessing adequate nutrition. Each Senior Box contains 18 pounds of wholesome food staples, including canned proteins, peanut butter, vegetables, fruit, and cereal, carefully selected to meet essential dietary needs. By prioritizing the health and well-being of our senior community, we strive to ensure that every individual can enjoy the nutrition they deserve. For those eligible, applications can be made to access these essential food resources.
