Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) is dedicated to enhancing the nutrition and well-being of low-income individuals aged 60 and older in De Soto, KS, and throughout a 53-county service area. Our program delivers monthly food packages filled with essential items like cheese, shelf-stable milk, nonfat dry milk, peanut butter or dry beans, cereal, meat, vegetables, fruits, juice, and instant potatoes or rice. By providing reliable food assistance, we aim to support our seniors in maintaining a healthy diet and a dignified lifestyle. To apply for a monthly food package, seniors can connect with the local administering organization in their county, which can provide an application by mail or electronically for convenience.
