Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in Cherryvale, KS, is dedicated to alleviating food insecurity by providing essential USDA commodity foods to low-income households across the state. With shipments occurring five to six times a year, local organizations facilitate the distribution of nutritious staples such as canned vegetables, fruits, juices, meats, cereals, peanut butter, nonfat dry milk, and pasta, ensuring every household receives a minimum of four and up to ten food items per delivery. We invite eligible clients to apply through their home county, as we strive to meet the critical nutritional needs of our community with care and efficiency.
