Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in Atchison, Kansas, is dedicated to addressing food insecurity by providing free USDA commodity foods to low-income households across the state. With shipments occurring five to six times each year, we partner with local organizations to ensure that families receive essential food items that meet their basic nutritional needs. Our offerings include a diverse selection of products such as canned vegetables, fruits, juices, meats, cereals, peanut butter, nonfat dry milk, and pasta, with each household receiving a minimum of four and up to ten different food items per delivery.
