Food and Hygiene

At Catholic Charities, we understand that facing homelessness and economic difficulties can feel isolating, which is why our Food and Hygiene program in Abilene, KS, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance and personal care items to those in need. We welcome individuals who meet our income guidelines to apply for support, ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry. Approved clients can receive a nonperishable food box each month, with distribution available in Salina, Hays, and Manhattan, while those located in rural areas around Manhattan can access their boxes directly at that site. Furthermore, we offer hygiene bags every other month, including vital items such as toilet paper and laundry detergent, to help maintain dignity and health during tough times. Together, we strive to foster hope and resilience in our community by addressing the pressing needs of our neighbors.
