Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in South Bend, IN, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. This transformative program offers Fellows an immersive six-month experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they receive hands-on education in organic farming and food systems. We emphasize accessibility by charging no tuition for the Fellowship. Throughout their journey, Fellows engage in practical initiatives, such as growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining community and school gardens, and fostering food literacy through educational programs. They also support local farmers markets and work to enhance access to healthy foods within their communities. Following their fellowship, participants embark on a Community Action Year, applying their skills in collaboration with regional non-profits. Applications are accepted until March each year, with activities typically running from May to October.
