At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in North Vernon, IN, we believe in empowering individuals to become advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through our tuition-free program, we provide comprehensive training in organic food systems, enabling our Fellows to engage directly with the community. Our initiatives include growing and distributing diverse crops on market-style farms, maintaining school and community gardens, and integrating food and ecological literacy into educational programs. Additionally, we support farmers markets and direct-to-consumer sales to expand access to healthy foods. Selected Fellows embark on a transformative six-month experiential journey at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their skills in partnership with local non-profits. Join us, as we cultivate future leaders committed to creating just and sustainable food systems in our region.
