Practical Abortion Fund, located in New Albany, IN, is dedicated to ensuring access to safe and legal abortion services for individuals traveling within the Midwest. Our mission focuses on alleviating the logistical and financial burdens associated with obtaining an abortion, offering vital support in travel coordination, accommodation, food, and emotional wellness. We provide assistance with travel costs, lodging, childcare, and medication, while also supplying contraceptive kits to empower clients. Though we do not fund abortion procedures directly, we connect clients with relevant abortion procedure funds they may be eligible for. We encourage individuals to reach out at least five days in advance of their needs to facilitate timely assistance, and an Intake Coordinator will respond within 24 hours to provide the necessary support.
