Thriving Connections is dedicated to fostering personal and community relationships that empower families in Martinsville, IN, to break the cycle of poverty. Through a locally-driven Guiding Coalition, we emphasize emotional and financial stability while reducing reliance on welfare benefits. Our program offers a robust support network, skill-building training, and coordinated planning to help participants navigate their journey towards self-sufficiency. Motivated individuals and families, referred to as Captains, create personalized plans to enhance their financial, professional, and social resources, while forming meaningful connections with Allies—community members who provide guidance and support. Together, they engage in monthly team meetings, where respect and understanding flourish, paving the way to lasting change. With a commitment to safety in light of COVID-19, our services are adaptable, ensuring that all families receive the assistance they need—whether in person or virtually.
