The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Madison, IN, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a food system that is just, sustainable, and accessible to all. This fellowship provides a unique opportunity for selected individuals to immerse themselves in organic food system education, engaging in hands-on experiences at the Allegheny Farm. Throughout a six-month residency, Fellows learn to grow diverse crops, educate communities on food and ecological literacy, establish and maintain school and community gardens, and support local farmers' markets. Following their residency, Fellows collaborate with regional non-profit organizations during a Community Action Year to apply their newfound skills in practical settings. Committed to fostering inclusivity, the Fellowship does not require tuition, making it a viable pathway for those passionate about creating a sustainable and equitable food future. Applications are accepted until March, with the program running from May to October.
