Backpack Program

The Backpack Program, an initiative of the United Way of Cass County, is dedicated to addressing food insecurity among children in Logansport, IN. Since its inception in 2008, the program has provided essential food assistance by sending backpacks filled with kid-friendly, nutritious food home with eligible students every weekend. Each backpack is designed to sustain a family of four, ensuring that no child goes hungry while they are away from school. By focusing on the immediate needs of these young learners, the Backpack Program strives to create a supportive community where every child can thrive nourished and ready to learn.
