Based in Kokomo, IN, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about creating a just food system. This program empowers Fellows through comprehensive, hands-on training in organic food systems, equipping them to become advocates and educators in their communities. Throughout the immersive six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, participants engage in diverse activities including crop cultivation, educational initiatives in healthcare, maintaining community gardens, and promoting food and ecological literacy in schools. Following their fellowship, they embark on a Community Action Year to implement their skills in collaboration with regional non-profits, expanding access to nutritious food and fostering sustainable practices. We prioritize accessibility by offering this fellowship tuition-free, ensuring that all passionate individuals can contribute to the vital work of improving food systems. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
