The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Kendallville, IN, is dedicated to transforming the food system by nurturing a new generation of advocates and educators. This unique program empowers Fellows through a comprehensive six-month experiential and residential training at the AMI's Allegheny Farm Campus, where they engage in organic food system education and practical application. Our mission is to promote a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just, ensuring that all individuals have access to healthy food. Fellows learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement educational health initiatives, maintain community gardens, and foster food and ecological literacy within schools. We are committed to inclusivity, as evidenced by our no-tuition policy, making this opportunity accessible to all. After training, each Fellow participates in a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to put their knowledge into practice and further support community food initiatives. Applications are open until March, with the fellowship running from May to October, creating a pathway for impactful change in food assistance and local food systems.
