Addison Ahrendts is a Pre-Licensed Professional and Licensed Social Worker specializing in supporting adolescents as they navigate the challenging realities of teenage life. She understands that for many parents, it can be daunting to find someone their teen feels comfortable talking to. Addison's unique background allows her to relate deeply to the lived experiences of her young clients, having overcome similar struggles herself. With a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California, Addison expertly addresses issues such as suicidal ideation, anxiety, and the complex dynamics of teen life transitions, including managing school stress, building relationships, and experiencing new emotions. Her approach blends various therapeutic modalities, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Trauma-Focused therapy, and Emotionally Focused techniques, ensuring that adolescents feel supported and empowered. In addition to her therapeutic work, Addison has a rich history of educating and mentoring youth as a high school teacher, partnering with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and serving as a counselor for the Crisis Text Line.
