Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Angola, IN US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Angola, IN, is dedicated to fostering a fair and sustainable food system through comprehensive training and empowerment. Our program sponsors and equips passionate individuals to become educators and advocates, promoting social, environmental, and economic justice in food systems. Through a tuition-free model, we ensure accessibility for all participants as they engage in hands-on learning about organic farming and community food initiatives. Fellows gain invaluable experience working on a market-style farm, developing community gardens, and implementing innovative health education sessions. They also play vital roles in supporting farmers markets, establishing distribution channels for healthy food, and mentoring future cohorts. Over a six-month experiential residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, and a subsequent Community Action Year, Fellows make a meaningful impact alongside local non-profits. Applications are accepted until March each year, with program activities running from May to October, making this an ideal opportunity for those committed to advancing food justice in their communities.
