Torrie Benson-Pryor, LCSW, brings over 20 years of experience in social services to her practice, having started as a case manager and Social Services Director before becoming a licensed clinical social worker. She has provided therapy as a child and family therapist in community mental health settings and has independently operated her own practice since February 2016. Torrie possesses extensive knowledge in addressing issues such as grief and loss, childhood trauma, depression, anxiety and panic disorders, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. She is particularly passionate about supporting first responders, military personnel, medical professionals, and individuals who have experienced trauma. Utilizing evidence-based therapies, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapies, Torrie also holds EMDR certification, allowing her to effectively treat both simple and complex traumas. As a member of ISSTD, she is well-versed in the complexities of dissociation. Torrie believes that, with the right tools, support, and a safe environment, every individual has the potential to foster their own healing. Through a strong therapeutic alliance, she aims to be the catalyst for change and healing in every client's journey.
