The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Woodstock, IL, is dedicated to transforming the food landscape by training and empowering individuals to champion a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system. Through a comprehensive six-month experiential program at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows gain critical organic food system education and practical experience. They engage in diverse initiatives such as growing and distributing crops on a market-style farm, conducting educational sessions, maintaining community gardens, and promoting food and ecological literacy in schools. Additionally, Fellows support local farmers markets and develop access strategies for healthy foods, all while collaborating with regional non-profits during their Community Action Year. The Fellowship is tuition-free, ensuring that all passionate individuals can participate and make meaningful contributions to their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
