Illinois Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

The Illinois Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in Wheeling, IL, is dedicated to helping low-income households meet their nutritional needs by providing essential food assistance through monthly benefits. Participants receive benefits via the Illinois Link Card, a convenient tool that works like a debit card for purchasing food items intended for human consumption, with the exception of hot meals. In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we prioritize safety by directing our clients to utilize our online and telephone services for applications, ensuring access while keeping everyone safe. During the months of April and May, SNAP recipients will be granted the maximum benefit amount to further ease the burden on households in our community.
