Donna Ratte

Donna Ratte is a dedicated Clinical Social Worker and therapist with a passion for guiding her clients toward deeper connections and a fuller life. She believes that many individuals may not realize the underlying habits of thinking, feeling, and acting that contribute to their daily internal and relational struggles. By discovering these emotional and relational patterns, clients can learn to live with greater intention and skill. Donna helps her clients understand how past habits, once beneficial, may now limit their ability to form meaningful relationships and experience joy. She emphasizes the importance of commitment to transforming these relationships, as it can lead to significant long-term benefits. Through her integrative approaches, including psychodynamic and family/marital therapies, clients can learn pathways to compassionate communication, acceptance of personal limitations, and the capacity to grieve life's inevitable losses. Donna earned her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland in Baltimore in 1993 and has an extensive background as a research psychologist and undergraduate educator. She also holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Michigan, specializing in cognitive processes related to thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving.
