Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Urbana, IL US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Urbana, IL, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable food practices. Through a comprehensive six-month experiential training at AMI’s Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows gain vital education in organic food systems and work collaboratively with local communities. This fellowship focuses on creating equitable access to healthy food, empowering participants to run market-style farms, enhance school and community garden programs, and foster food literacy within education systems. By offering this transformative opportunity without tuition fees, we ensure that all aspiring advocates can participate and grow. After their training, Fellows engage in a Community Action Year, applying their skills in partnership with regional non-profits to drive impactful change and support local food economies. Applications are accepted until March each year, with fellowships occurring from May to October, where passionate individuals can truly make a difference in food access and sustainability.
