Patches of Light is dedicated to supporting families in Springfield, IL, who are navigating the challenges of catastrophic health issues and financial stress. Our mission is to provide essential financial assistance to alleviate some of the burdens these families face. We offer support for utilities, housing, and transportation through gas cards, as well as grocery cards to help with daily needs. To ensure confidentiality and streamline the process, applications are submitted exclusively through the child's medical team and typically take 2-3 weeks for evaluation. While families cannot apply directly, we encourage hospital staff to send a brief email confirming the submission of any assistance requests to enhance our efficiency in processing applications.
