Located in Skokie, IL, Meals at Home is dedicated to providing vital food assistance to seniors, individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities, Veterans, and anyone who struggles to prepare meals independently. Our services range from short-term support for those recovering from medical situations to long-term meal delivery aimed at fostering a healthier lifestyle. We offer two nutritious meals each day – one hot and one cold – sourced from hospital kitchens with a focus on low fat, low salt, and low cholesterol options, alongside medically prescribed diets as needed. For just $9.50 per day, clients receive both meals with delivery available six days a week. Recognizing the need for inclusivity, we provide a sliding-scale fee based on current income for those who cannot pay the full rate. Our caring volunteers also offer friendly visits and can assist clients with grocery shopping for food, toiletries, and other necessities, with no fees beyond the cost of groceries.
