Located in Skokie, IL, the Foster Street Urban Agriculture Program is dedicated to cultivating fresh produce for our food pantry and the Teen Baby Nursery, while empowering youth through hands-on learning. In our community garden, children engage with the land, gaining essential skills in urban agriculture and nutrition education. Throughout the spring, summer, and fall, participants learn to plant, harvest, and prepare healthy meals using garden-fresh ingredients, as well as how to engage with their local economy by selling produce at farmers markets. Our mission is to foster resilience, promote healthy eating, and build a stronger community through accessible food assistance and educational opportunities.
