Ray Kim

Dr. Ray Kim is a licensed clinical psychologist dedicated to guiding individuals on their journey of self-discovery and growth. He assists clients in gaining insight into their challenges and finding effective solutions to their problems through a compassionate approach grounded in direction, encouragement, support, and hope. Dr. Kim believes that for positive changes to occur, individuals must begin to modify dysfunctional thinking patterns and unhealthy behaviors. Utilizing a solution-focused approach, he collaborates with clients to strengthen their sense of self and enhance their quality of life. His clinical expertise primarily lies in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, addressing a range of issues including depression, anxiety disorders, child and adolescent challenges, relationship problems, and substance abuse. Dr. Kim works with individuals, couples, and families, providing therapy for children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting. Additionally, as a board-certified forensic psychologist, he brings significant experience in navigating the legal system and is sensitive to the complexities involved in court proceedings. His forensic services include independent medical examinations, fitness for duty evaluations, violence risk assessments, sex offender evaluations, FOID reinstatement examinations, and substance abuse assessments.
