Youth HYPE Housing Program

At Northwest Compass’ Youth HYPE Housing Program in Schaumburg, IL, we believe that everyone deserves a place to call home. Our mission is to empower young adults aged 18-24 to take control of their housing situations and navigate their paths toward stability and self-sufficiency. We serve as a vital entry point for individuals facing homelessness or housing insecurity, connecting them to essential resources and support through collaborative efforts with The Alliance to End Homelessness in Suburban Cook County. Our comprehensive services include tailored homeless prevention financial assistance, education on eviction and foreclosure advocacy, and money management counseling to help clients understand and improve their financial situations. Additionally, we provide career coaching to prepare young adults for successful employment, along with assistance in completing SNAP and Medicaid applications. Our monthly food pantry is available to all residents, ensuring access to healthy meals as they work towards rebuilding their lives. At Northwest Compass, we treat everyone with dignity and respect, transforming moments of crisis into opportunities for growth and recovery, all while offering our services free of charge to the community we serve.
