The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Rock Island, IL, champions the development of a fair and sustainable food system by training and empowering passionate individuals to become advocates and educators. Our program offers a comprehensive organic food system education, enabling Fellows to engage hands-on in initiatives such as growing and distributing diversified crops, implementing innovative health care education, and enhancing food literacy in schools. By supporting collaborations with local farmers markets and community coalitions, our fellows work tirelessly to improve access to healthy foods and mentor future cohorts. This six-month immersive experience followed by a Community Action Year allows participants to directly apply their skills in partnership with regional non-profit organizations, fostering a network of change-makers dedicated to food justice and environmental stewardship. We welcome applicants to join us in transforming the food landscape, with opportunities available from May to October each year.
