At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Peoria, IL, we are dedicated to fostering a just food system that champions social, environmental, and economic equity. Our program sponsors, trains, and empowers passionate individuals to become influential teachers and advocates for sustainable agriculture. We proudly offer tuition-free access to our comprehensive organic food system education, enabling participants to grow and distribute diverse crops on market-style farms, implement innovative health care educational sessions, maintain community gardens, and promote ecological literacy in schools. Throughout this immersive experience, selected Fellows engage in hands-on training at our Allegheny Farm Campus for six months, followed by a Community Action Year, during which they collaborate with regional non-profits to create impactful food assistance initiatives and enhance access to healthy foods. To join our mission of empowerment and accessibility, we encourage prospective Fellows to apply by March each year for our program running from May to October.
