The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Oswego, IL, empowers individuals to become advocates for a just and sustainable food system. By offering a comprehensive six-month experiential program at AMI's Allegheny Farm Campus, we focus on fostering organic food system education and nurturing a new generation of leaders who are committed to social, economic, and environmental justice. Our tuition-free fellowship ensures accessibility for all, enabling participants to engage in diverse initiatives such as crop cultivation on market-style farms, development of community and school gardens, and implementation of educational programs emphasizing food and ecological literacy. Throughout their journey, Fellows not only gain vital hands-on experience but also collaborate with regional nonprofit organizations for a year of community action, enhancing access to fresh, healthy food resources and supporting local food coalitions. We invite aspiring leaders to join us in this transformative opportunity; applications are accepted until March each year to start the fellowship experience in May.
