Youth HYPE Housing Program

At Northwest Compass' Youth HYPE Housing Program, located in Oak Park, IL, we believe that everyone deserves a safe and nurturing place to call home. Our dedicated team empowers young adults aged 18 to 24 to take charge of their housing situations, providing essential support and resources tailored to each individual's circumstances. Through our Walk-In Entry Point Center, we connect residents to community resources and offer specialized services such as limited financial assistance for homelessness prevention, education and advocacy for those facing eviction or foreclosure, and money management counseling. Our career coaching helps young clients prepare for job readiness and gain meaningful employment. As a proud partner of the Greater Chicago Food Depository, we also assist with SNAP and Medicaid applications and operate a food pantry accessible to all Oak Park residents, ensuring that no one goes hungry. At Northwest Compass, we treat everyone with dignity and respect, committed to transforming housing crises into opportunities for growth. Our services are provided free of charge, and we welcome food donations to further support our community.
