Young Ok Kim, MDiv, is a dedicated therapist passionate about assisting individuals navigating a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma from adverse childhood experiences, self-esteem issues, attachment difficulties, grief and loss, as well as relationship and family conflicts. With a particular focus on the unique experiences of 1.5 and 2nd generation Koreans and their parents, she understands the complexities arising from cultural and linguistic barriers. Young employs a holistic approach, diving deep to identify and address the root causes of her clients' concerns rather than offering temporary solutions. Through this exploration of experiences and relationships, her clients are encouraged to uncover the underlying patterns contributing to their struggles and ultimately discover their authentic selves. With a rich background as an international worker for ten years, alongside her impressive academic credentials—including four master's degrees in Intercultural Studies, Theology, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Clinical Psychology, as well as a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology—Young is well-equipped to integrate faith and psychology in her therapeutic practices.
