Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Mundelein, IL, is dedicated to fostering a diverse and equitable food system by empowering individuals to become proactive advocates and educators in sustainable agriculture. Our program offers comprehensive training in organic farming practices and community food systems without any tuition costs, ensuring accessibility for all participants. Over the course of six months, Fellows engage in hands-on, experiential learning at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they collaborate with regional non-profit organizations to implement solutions that enhance food access and promote health literacy. Through initiatives like growing diversified crops, managing community gardens, and supporting farmers markets, our Fellows actively contribute to their communities while developing vital skills in food system advocacy. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the experience running from May to October, creating a pathway for passionate individuals to make a meaningful impact in food assistance and community engagement.
