Cynthia Kindgren, LCPC, is passionate about helping individuals who have experienced emotional and physical trauma, neurocognitive deficits, or medical injuries. She creates a safe yet challenging environment that fosters growth and healing. Rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS), she believes that every person possesses multiple parts that, along with a core self, can guide and heal the more burdened aspects of their identity. Cynthia recognizes the remarkable power of the mind and the resilience of the human spirit. Utilizing techniques such as cognitive retraining, hypnotherapy, EMDR, HRV training, and Neurofeedback, she empowers her clients to achieve self-regulation, cultivate internal cohesion, and enhance their overall quality of life. With a robust background in the neuropsychology department at Rockford Memorial Hospital, Cynthia has developed a deep skill set tailored to her specialty in trauma recovery. Her extensive 21 years in private practice have provided her with insights into the limitations of traditional therapy. Moreover, her personal journey, marked by a spinal cord injury in 1991 that left her paralyzed from the neck down, has imbued her with unique strategies for coping with trauma and pain management. Today, Cynthia shares her wealth of knowledge and experience with individuals and families, guiding them on their paths to healing and well-being.
