MOVE! Weight Management Program

Located in Lockport, IL, the MOVE! Weight Management Program is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of Veterans through comprehensive weight management and health promotion initiatives. Our mission is to ensure that each Veteran accessing care at VA facilities is screened for obesity annually and has access to personalized weight management services tailored to their unique needs and lifestyle preferences. We offer a range of practical options, including engaging group sessions, convenient telephone lifestyle coaching, and the innovative TeleMOVE! program, which allows for in-home messaging and clinician support. For those who prefer a self-directed approach, our MOVE! Coach mobile app is available, along with weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans who may need additional assistance after utilizing our MOVE! services.
