Located in Grayslake, IL, the Health Education Program is dedicated to empowering immigrants and their families in Lake County by providing essential information on crucial health topics. Our mission focuses on enhancing understanding and promoting healthier lifestyles through topics such as Nutrition, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, Women’s Health, Cancer, Depression, and Dental Health. We offer engaging large group seminars in Spanish, held quarterly by experienced volunteer professionals, and provide childcare where children can learn health-related lessons. Additionally, our trained Promotoras de Salud conduct small group presentations at the request of the community, tailoring topics and scheduling to fit individual needs. We believe in accessibility, bringing healthcare directly to our community through health fairs and mobile clinics, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to engage with important health education resources.
