Youth HYPE Housing Program

At the Youth HYPE Housing Program in Elmwood Park, IL, we believe that everyone deserves a safe and stable place to call home. Our mission is to empower young adults aged 18-24 navigating homelessness by providing vital resources and support to manage their housing situations effectively. As part of Northwest Compass, we operate an Entry Point Center that connects individuals to essential services and collaborate with The Alliance to End Homelessness in the Suburban Cook County. Our program includes limited financial assistance for homelessness prevention, education, and advocacy for those facing eviction or foreclosure, as well as money management counseling to help clients make informed financial decisions. We also offer career coaching to prepare individuals for employment opportunities. In partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, we assist with SNAP and Medicaid applications and provide a food pantry available monthly to all registered residents. Our dedicated staff treats every client with respect and compassion, ensuring that those in crisis receive the support they need to overcome their challenges and reclaim their dignity. We welcome food donations and remind our community that all our services are provided at no cost to residents in need.
