Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Edwardsville, IL US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Edwardsville, IL, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates and educators for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through hands-on training and mentorship, our program empowers Fellows to engage in transformative work that includes organic food system education, community gardening, and health-focused agricultural initiatives. Fellows experience six months of immersive, experiential learning at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their knowledge in collaboration with regional non-profits. We believe in accessibility; therefore, there are no tuition fees for this fellowship. By fostering partnerships to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement educational sessions, and support farmers markets, we aim to enhance food access and promote ecological literacy within our communities. Applications are accepted until March each year for the fellowship running from May to October.
