Located in Des Plaines, IL, the American Indian Health Service of Chicago (AIHSC) is dedicated to delivering comprehensive primary care and mental health services tailored to the needs of the American Indian population and other underserved communities. As Illinois' only Urban Indian Health Program, we focus on providing culturally sensitive healthcare that addresses the unique challenges faced by these populations. Our integrated model combines primary and behavioral health care, ensuring that patients receive holistic support for both physical and mental well-being. We offer a wide range of services, including chronic disease management, women’s health services, cancer screenings, vaccinations, and urgent care for children and adolescents. AIHSC is committed to accessibility, accepting most insurance plans and providing a self-pay sliding scale based on family size and income. Our goal is to foster health equity and improve outcomes for all individuals at every stage of life.
