Olivia Onesti is a pre-licensed professional with a Master's in Social Work who understands that starting a therapy journey can be a source of anxiety and intimidation. She commends her clients for taking the vital step to prioritize their well-being. Olivia believes that presenting symptoms are adaptive and protective coping mechanisms developed over time. She recognizes that individuals are influenced by various contexts, including familial systems and systems of oppression. Her approach involves uncovering the root causes of symptoms, fostering self-awareness, and exploring clients’ past and present experiences as the foundation of the therapeutic process. Olivia is dedicated to creating a safe, collaborative, and warm environment where clients can gain insight and find meaning in their unique lived experiences. She emphasizes the importance of a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship, which she believes is crucial for fostering change and healing both within and outside of the therapy space. It is Olivia’s privilege to listen to and hold the stories of her clients—whether they are filled with pain or joy.
