Alexis Dearing

Alexis Dearing, a licensed professional counselor (LPC), understands that the journey to find the right counselor can be daunting and requires immense courage. She recognizes that clients come to her at different points in their journey—some ready to open up and others just beginning to explore their vulnerability. With a deep understanding of the varying levels of resistance and vulnerability in individuals, Alexis believes that there is hope present in every situation. Committed to being a supportive part of her clients' unique paths, she works with a diverse range of clients, addressing various issues, needs, and goals. Trained in Level II EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, Alexis also draws on her experience with play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other clinical strategies to tailor her approach to each individual. Her client-centered methodology ensures that she remains adaptable to her clients' needs, fostering a safe and trusting atmosphere. Alexis holds a strong belief that every person's journey is unique and strives to validate, reflect, listen, encourage, and care for each of her clients, making sure they feel safe and heard throughout their transformative process.
