Tom Miebach

Tom Miebach is a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) with over fifteen years of experience delivering a range of mental health services within the Champaign-Urbana community. His extensive background in crisis intervention encompasses roles in community mental health, emergency room, and inpatient hospital settings. Tom also spent six years at the University of Illinois Counseling Center, where he provided a variety of clinical services, including individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention outreach, catering to diverse student populations. Recently, his training and expertise have centered on trauma-focused psychotherapy for adolescent and adult individuals. He employs an eclectic mix of therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's unique needs, with proficiency in CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic therapy, ACT, IFS, and EMDR. Passionate about the healing process, Tom aims to create a safe, collaborative space where clients can work towards improving their mental health. He believes in the importance of healing emotional wounds from the past and developing effective tools to break free from destructive behavioral cycles, ultimately empowering individuals to create meaningful lives.
