Step Up Assistance Program (1:1 Peer Chat, Peer Support Groups, Local Resources)

In the heart of Calumet City, IL, the Step Up Assistance Program is dedicated to empowering families in need or crisis through compassionate support and resource connection. We offer a helpline to provide immediate assistance and facilitate access to essential services. Our 1:1 Peer Support Chat enables individuals to engage with a trained Peer Chat Facilitator over a span of weeks, fostering personal growth through guided conversations. Our Step Up Peer Support Groups create a welcoming online environment where participants can engage in mindfulness activities, relaxation exercises, and storytelling, all aimed at nurturing mental health and building community connections. Additionally, we provide education and outreach opportunities, including training through Google Career Certificates Scholarships and individualized mentoring through our Peer Training Circles.
