The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Aurora, IL, is dedicated to fostering a just and sustainable food system by sponsoring, training, and empowering individuals to become educators and advocates for change. We believe in making our program accessible, so tuition fees are waived to ensure that everyone can participate. Our Fellowship offers a unique opportunity to engage in hands-on learning through organic food system education, where participants can cultivate and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health care educational sessions, maintain community gardens, and enhance ecological literacy in local schools. The program further supports farmers markets and community food initiatives while developing distribution channels to increase access to nutritious food. After an immersive six-month experience at our farm campus, Fellows embark on a transformative Community Action Year, partnering with non-profits to apply their knowledge and skills. To join our vibrant network of change-makers, interested individuals should complete their applications by March of the application year, with the Fellowship running from May to October.
